I'll Be Around slight edit (LevixReader) Oneshot

________ was walking down the hall to his office. The Corporal to be exact. Ever since she was a kid she was best friends with Levi and she had grown feelings for him over the years. At this point she was head over heels for him and today was the day she was going to confess. When she got to his door she just stood there. She then opened the door with her eyes on the floor, oblivious to what was going on.

She may have been right, it depends on what you mean.
What do you mean by love? 

"Levi I need to tell you some-" she looked up and saw Petra standing over Levi with her lips on Levi's. HERS! 

________ slowly looked back down, letting her ______ hair fall over her now wet _______ eyes. She sniffled and then ran out of the room as fast as she could running into people while at it until she made it outside. She ran to her favorite tree and jumped up onto the branches and just sat there. It started to ran and it masked her tears. 

This tree was where Levi had first kissed you. You though it was just for comfort after you watched your friends die, but it felt so real. It was soft, gentle and made her feel all warm inside. She knew she would never know that feeling again though.

You told me no, said you love me though.
You had to go your own way.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Levi said pushing Petra off of him. She stumbled back tears wanting to come out.

"W-what do you mean Levi? Don't you love me? Don't you want to be with me?" Petra asked grabbing Levi's hand as tears started to come down her face. 

Levi sighed and wiped away the tears with a handkerchief from his drawer. She snuggled into his hand but he quickly pulled it away from her as soon as he could. He stood up and walked around his desk so he was in front of the crying ginger.

"I do love you but as family. I already love someone even more right now. I have loved her for a long time and -" He didn't get to finish because she had put a finger to his lips.

"What I did was uncalled for and I shouldn't have done it. We are good friends and I don't think I want to break that friendship." She said giving him a hug. This surprised Levi and then she pulled back.

"Go get your girl Corporal!" Petra said and he then nodded and ran out the door. He just had to make sure you were okay.

________ held her head in her hands trying to keep as warm as possible. She didn't have her cape so she was stuck wearing just a wet jacket. She shivered and then before she could move a bolt of lightning came and hit her. She slowly started closing her eyes and she fell out of the tree straight onto the hard, wet ground below. She heard footsteps walking but then she heard the person running and towards her direction.

"___-_______!" Levi said as he saw her limp body on the ground. He skidded on his knees and put her head in his lap. He petted her ______ hair and watched as she slowly opened her eyes. The once joy filled _______ was now fading into a sorrowful color. She put a hand up on his cheek and wiped away his tears.

"L-levi..... I'm..... s-sorry." she said trying to find the right words to say. he put his hand on top of hers and then rubbed it with his thumb.

"What are you talking about you did nothing wrong brat. Come on we are going to get you fixed up." he said but ________ stopped him from moving. The tears just couldn't stop falling down her and his face. She smiled.

"There is n-nothing you c-can do. I'm already d-dying." she said and he shook his head side to side making the water droplets fall of his ebony hair.

"No! I won't let you die!" he said and she stifled a laugh before she slowly started to close her eyes. 

"I love you Levi." she said before her head fell limp to the side.

Before the new dream can fly the old one has to die.
When we were kids we believed the dream was all we'd need.  

It had been about a week after _______'s death and Levi locked himself in his office. His hygiene and health were slipping and he was just so sad. He never got to tell you how he felt and that he was sorry. He just wished you were still with him.

He went to his closet and opened it up. He moved around some stuff and then he pulled out a pocket watch. it was silver and had what looked like vines growing around the edges. He sat back on his bad and pushed the button opening the little door that concealed the watch. On the door was a picture of ______ and him when they were kids playing. That was the same day you to gave each other the watches.

~Flashback~
_______ was playing outside with her dear friend Levi when it started raining. The seven year old's were chasing each other having the time of their lives. Levi pushed ________ into a puddle of mud making her get all dirty. She held her hands up to her ______ eyes and started to cry. levi knelled down next to her and brought her into a hug. He pulled two things out of his pocket and held one in front of _______.

"W-what's this?" she asked looking at the object. It was a gold pocket watch that looked exactly like the silver one in Levi's hand.

"It's for you. It will ensure that we both stay together. We are going to stay together forever no matter what."

"Promise?" ______ said holding out her pinkie finger. He entwined his with hers and pulled it down.

"Promise."
~Flashback end~

Turned out to be wrong, now it's time to rise and shine
Singing a brand new song.

It was past curfew and Levi heard some noises outside of his office. he shrugged it off but the he heard a knock at his door.

"State your name and business!" he yelled but there was no answer. Just another knock.

'Did you hear me? Name and business!" he said but the knocking just continued. He went to the door and threw it open but was surprised. Not a single living thing was outside. He shrugged it off as just a trick from the cadets.

"Damn brats don't know when to stop." He said before making his way to the window. He looked out at the dark atmosphere and saw a figure. They had their cloak on and up so he couldn't see who it was.

'Why the hell is some one out at this ungodly hour?' He said before grabbing his jacket and walking outside. He finally was outside but didn't see the person.

"Hey you brat! Where did you go?" Levi said and then he saw the person run around the corner of the great castle. Levi started to chase it.

"Get back here." He said and when he turned the corner not a soul was there. 

He just stood there but then he saw the end of a green cape flutter past the next corner.

"Got ya." Levi said keeping as quite as he can. 

When he turned he saw that the person had taken there hood of and was standing by a stone. It was _________ grave stone. He slowly walked up to the person and when he got closer he could see the persons details illuminated by the moon.

The person had ______ curly hair. levi stood there in shock and coughed making the person jump and turn around giving Levi a better view. 

"__-______?" Levi asked taking a step closer and she nodded. He looked at her closely but stepped back.

"You can't be. ________ died and I saw it. Are you telling me your a ghost or something?" Levi asked and she nodded her head.

"Yes Levi. It is me and I am a ghost." she said tears falling down her face but Levi just needed to check one thing to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.

"What did I give you when we were little that only me and you know about?" He asked and she giggled surprising Levi a little.

"It was this of course." ______ said bringing her hand out of the cloak and holding a gold pocket watch in her whit hand.

Levi took a look and then took out his. It was a match.

"_-_____." Levi said and he ran and wrapped his hands around her. She started to cry into his neck and a few tears even managed to come out of his stormy eyes as well. He pulled back and moved a strand of hair out of her face.

"I love you _____. Please don't leave me." Levi said and she smiled. He thought he would never get to see that smile ever again. 

"I'm sorry. I must go back to the others. They can't wait to see you again." she said putting a hand to his cheek. She leaned in and pecked him on the lips before disappearing. 

"Don't worry. I'll be around." ______ voice said as she drifted away.

Levi opened his eyes and noticed that you were gone. He heard a small tick and he looked down in his hand. He saw her gold pocket watch right next to his own silver one. They were ticking in sinc and this actually made Levi smile. A thing he though he would never do again.
